What is continuing education?

Is it something that should feel forced or pressured in order to feel good? I don’t think that education in any form should feel that way. People should enjoy learning in order to either expand their knowledge on a subject or their mind as a whole.

Unfortunately I feel like the formal education system makes it so that learning feels too often like a chore rather than an opportunity. Learning about various topics is something that can be so exciting, like learning a new skill. It’s something that keep people alive and stimulated as well as making people eager to share their knowledge or instantly connect with those whom are interested in the same topics. Some of you might have to do continuing education for work -more analyzing, conduct in the workplace, or various seminars that have you sitting under artificial light for hours on end with unlimited coffee and a bland hotel buffet.

Is this really what learning has come to?

It is the opposite of motivating and it makes people hate learning even more. What about wine tastings; Coffee tours; Book clubs; Surfing lessons; and everything in between? There are so many forms of education outside of that traditional mold that can spark something inside of you. Get out of your comfort zone and learn something new, you will be very glad you did.
